This project provided a new highway overbridge across the Great Western mainline, before the removal of an existing temporary overbridge.
Sub-contracting to main contractor AMCO, our work scope included earthworks, precast concrete abutment and wingwall construction, installation and stitching of precast parapets, structural backfill, new highway construction, service diversions and protection.
A number of activities were undertaken within restricted timescales and at weekend to suit track possession arrangements.
Project utilised our skills in highways and structures construction, liaison with highways adopting authority to confirm their satisfaction with the work to be adopted, co-ordination of utility providers, all in the rail environment and in accordance with our customer’s and Network Rail’s requirements.
